Maya Jama emerges as Bond girl favorite after Netflix debut

Presenter Maya Jama has emerged as a leading candidate to play the next Bond girl following her acting debut in the second season of the Netflix series ‘The Gentlemen’. Her performance in the Guy Ritchie series, where she stars alongside Theo James, has drawn significant attention from both audiences and bookmakers.

Following the premiere, the betting firm Coral reduced the odds of Jama becoming the next Bond girl from 12-1 to 3-1. John Hill of Coral noted that her style, confidence, and screen presence have driven the rapid increase in interest.

While primarily known as a presenter for shows such as ‘Love Island’, Jama previously attempted an acting career, including an audition for the series ‘Skins’ that she narrowly missed. After that experience, she had temporarily stepped away from acting ambitions before her recent role in ‘The Gentlemen’.
