Maya Oliva to perform choreographic study in Badolato
Choreographer and dancer Maya Oliva will present her work, ‘In perpetual blooming, despite the gods’, at the Teatro Comunale di Badolato. The performance is part of the VE. DE. RE. program, which showcases artistic studies and shows developed during residencies at the Centro di Residenza Artistica della Calabria (C. Re. A.).
The production is a choreographic study focused on the energetic charge of an opera prelude in the moments preceding spoken words. The creative team includes Atte Elias Kantonen for original sound composition, Saana Volanen for lighting design, and Meri Craig for costume design. Oliva, who has previously worked with renowned choreographers such as William Forsythe and Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, has presented her work internationally in countries including Belgium, France, Finland, and India.
