Mayank Chakraborty and Pratitee Bordoloi lead India to double gold in Asian Junior Chess

India achieved a double victory at the Asian Junior Classical Chess Championship held in Mumbai, winning both the Open and Girls titles.

In the Open Championship, top seed Mayank Chakraborty secured the gold medal with 7.5 points. His performance earned him an additional Grandmaster norm. Russia's Artem Pingin took the silver with seven points, while India's Daksh Goyal claimed bronze with 6.5 points.

In the Girls category, Pratitee Bordoloi clinched the gold medal, also finishing with 7.5 points. This victory earned her a Woman Grandmaster norm. Kazakhstan's Mariya Kholyavko took the silver, and India's Nivedita V C secured the bronze medal with 6.5 points.
