Mayawati denies health rumors and criticizes Akash Anand

Mayawati, the national president of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), has dismissed rumors regarding her health as baseless. During a press conference in Lucknow, she stated that she is in good health and urged the public and media not to believe false reports circulating on social media.

Mayawati also addressed the recent expulsion of her nephew, Akash Anand, from the party. She accused him of spreading rumors about her illness and claimed that he attempted to inquire about her health through her security detail while requesting that the call remain undisclosed. She alleged that Anand continues to act under the influence of his father-in-law, Siddharth, rather than using his own discretion.

Regarding party operations, Mayawati announced a restructuring of the BSP organization to strengthen its grassroots presence. This includes dividing the country into three sectors, with Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand grouped into a single sector to streamline organizational work.
