Mayawati Expels Ashok Siddharth and Randhir Singh Beniwal from BSP

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati announced on X that former Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Siddharth and party coordinator Randhir Singh Beniwal have been expelled with immediate effect for repeated indiscipline and violation of party directives. Siddharth, the father‑in‑law of Mayawati’s nephew Akash Anand, had previously been removed during the Maharashtra Assembly elections, reinstated on the condition of improved conduct, and later given organisational responsibilities in states such as Delhi, Kerala, Gujarat, Karnataka, Odisha and West Bengal. Complaints of misconduct persisted, and Mayawati said the expulsions were necessary to prevent confusion and sabotage of the BSP’s campaign ahead of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. She added that Siddharth will not be readmitted to the party in the future. Senior leader Ramji Gautam was reappointed as BSP in‑charge for Punjab and other states, and Mayawati clarified that senior UP officials assigned to other states will not receive organisational roles in Uttar Pradesh.
