Maybank enables Google Pay support for cardholders in Singapore

Maybank has introduced Google Pay support for its credit and debit cardholders in Singapore. This update allows Android and Wear OS users to digitize their cards for contactless in-store and online payments, a feature previously unavailable to them while Apple and Samsung users could already use mobile wallets.

To enable the service, cardholders must temporarily activate SMS OTPs via the M2U SG app. The integration supports both Visa and Mastercard, ensuring users retain their existing rewards and benefits while utilizing the digital wallet.
