Maye Musk reveals Elon Musk's childhood bullying in new memoirs
Maye Musk has shared details regarding the childhood of her son, Elon Musk, in her upcoming memoirs titled ‘Timeless: The Art of Reinvention and Resilience at Any Age’. In excerpts released by The Telegraph, she describes how Elon faced severe bullying during his adolescence, noting that on one occasion he was beaten so brutally that he required hospitalization.
Maye Musk noted that Elon was a solitary child who preferred reading, programming, and video games over social interaction. While his siblings made friends easily, Elon was often described by teachers as a ‘dreamer’ who struggled with social relationships and sports but excelled in physics and mathematics. His family referred to him as ‘our encyclopedia’ due to his ability to recall precise information from his reading.
Although she recognized his intelligence from the age of three, Maye Musk stated she never anticipated he would become one of the world’s wealthiest individuals. She defended her son against media portrayals that depict him as a villain, instead describing him as an ‘American innovation hero’ and a pioneer in green energy.
