Mayo-Kebbi Ouest authorities launch vehicle registration campaign
In the Mayo-Kebbi Ouest region of Chad, transport authorities have launched a sensitization campaign regarding motor vehicle registration. Ngagué Dominique Gnala, the provincial head of service for the Delegation of Transport, Civil Aviation, and Meteorology, is urging owners of motorized vehicles to comply with current registration rules.
Gnala stated that license plates are essential for identifying vehicles in circulation and facilitating administrative tracking during accidents, thefts, or official inspections. He noted that the initiative is intended to allow citizens to regularize their status before upcoming joint inspections are conducted on road axes. Authorities warned that once the sensitization period ends, strict enforcement will follow and non-compliant drivers will face penalties.
