Mayor Ahmet Kaya says Çağlayan urban renewal on schedule in Ortahisar

Ortahisar Mayor Ahmet Kaya visited the construction site of the Çağlayan Kentsel Dönüşüm (urban renewal) project, accompanied by his assistants and ORKENT board chair Atakan Sayitoğlu. He received an update from site officials, expressed satisfaction that the works are proceeding according to the planned timetable and reaffirmed the commitment to deliver the promised homes and commercial spaces on time.

The first phase of the project covers 186 residential units and 22 shops, with the physical realization rate reaching about 21%. Designed to replace aging, earthquake‑risk structures, the development incorporates eco‑friendly features such as solar‑energy panels, rain‑water recycling, floor heating, extensive landscaping and underground parking, aiming to provide a modern, safe living environment for the neighbourhood’s residents.
