Mayor André Vechi outlines $100 million infrastructure plan for Brusque, Brazil

Mayor André Vechi presented Brusque’s latest management model at the 26th ACIBr Almoço de Ideias, detailing a series of infrastructure, mobility, sanitation and housing projects. He noted the municipality’s fiscal reorganisation that lifted its Treasury rating from B‑ to A+, and highlighted a year‑end surplus of R$ 41 million that enables new spending.

Key investments include the Avenida Beira Rio lot 1 and 2 project exceeding R$ 100 million, aimed at improving urban mobility and industrial logistics, and a new Pronto Atendimento complex in the Águas Claras area, backed by R$ 3.8 million of municipal funds. The city also signed a housing plan with the Instituto DEL, allocating about R$ 180 000 to address local housing shortages. Vechi stressed that “this rating demonstrates the municipality’s ability to save resources and meet its financial commitments” and called for public‑private collaboration to reduce housing bottlenecks and boost economic development.
