Mayor Andrés Watson Highlights Youth Athletes' Achievements in Florencio Varela

Local executive Andrés Watson met with young athletes from the Florencio Varela district, praising their performance, preparation and future goals. The discussion, held at the municipal building on 25 de Mayo, featured multi‑champion taekwondo athlete Ludmila Guisasola, who expressed pride in representing the city in South Korea and China and hoped to return with medals.

Secretary of Culture, Sports and Recreation Estefanía Nieva emphasized the municipality’s ongoing support, noting investments such as a new training pista and assistance to sports clubs. Track athletes Maximiliano Fernández and Santiago Núñez Méndez also shared their recent successes at national cross‑country competitions, while their coach Sebastián Sidra highlighted the satisfaction of seeing their hard work rewarded.
