Mayor Alberto "Beto" Granados of Matamoros, Tamaulipas, held a public meeting with residents of the Los Presidentes neighbourhood as part of the "Tu Voz Transforma" program. He said the municipal government will begin construction of sidewalks in the main park, carry out road‑pothole repairs, maintain existing street lighting and install new lamps on major thoroughfares. The mayor also reported completion of a new sidewalk at the Rodolfo Torre Cantú kindergarten, a perimeter fence at the Ernesto Gutiérrez González Primary School, and the upcoming construction of a classroom at the José Emilio Pacheco Berny telesecundary school.
In a separate session with residents of the Paseo Residencial subdivision, Granados listened to concerns about a proposed development on a local green area.
