Mayor Beto Granados opens ExpoFeria Matamoros 2026 and revives Concha Acústica

From June 12‑28 2026, Mayor Beto Granados inaugurated the ExpoFeria Matamoros, a multi‑day fair featuring concerts, gastronomy, rides, exhibitions and national‑international artistic programming. The mayor said the event would provide family entertainment, create jobs, boost local merchants and attract visitors from nearby Texas, while costing no municipal funds.

On the same weekend Granados also presided over the reopening of the Concha Acústica in the Olympic Park after 13 years of abandonment. Renovations installed 1,600 new seats, upgraded the control room, electrical sub‑station and metal structures, applied anticorrosive treatment and fresh paint, and added a new canopy. Attendees included Senator Olga Sosa Ruiz, DIF president Anita de Granados and local deputies.
