Mayor Beto Granados starts paving Miguel Alemán Street in Matamoros

Matamoros, Tamaulipas – Mayor Beto Granados inaugurated the asphalt paving of Miguel Alemán Street, covering the stretch between 16 de Septiembre and Ignacio Zaragoza in the Carlos Salinas de Gortari colonia. The work, financed by the 2026 Municipal Social Infrastructure Fund (FAISMUN), will directly benefit about 280 local residents.

The project includes more than 1,600 m² of asphalt, concrete curbs and sidewalks, and involves earthwork, calcium‑sulphate base preparation, road surfacing, re‑leveling of an inspection well and installation of utility connections. Granados said the administration is committed to delivering infrastructure in neighborhoods that have long been neglected, noting recent drainage upgrades announced for ten other colonias.
