Mayor Colletti praises Casale Monferrato hospital following daughter's birth

Gianluca Colletti, the Mayor of Castelletto Monferrato and President of the ASL Alessandria-Valenza Mayors' District, has used the birth of his daughter, Maddalena, to highlight the quality of local healthcare. Maddalena was born on July 19, 2026, at the Santo Spirito Hospital in Casale Monferrato.

The birth occurred during a period of high activity for the hospital’s maternity ward, which recently drew national media attention after recording a significant number of births, including a moment when twelve newborns were present simultaneously.

Colletti expressed gratitude to the medical staff, including doctors, midwives, nurses, and pediatricians, emphasizing that effective healthcare requires a combination of professional competence and human empathy. The family's experience was featured on the Rete 4 program ‘Diario Weekend’.
