Mayor Daniel Passerini attends UNESCO forum in Paris

Córdoba Mayor Daniel Passerini attended a UNESCO international forum in Paris, which was presided over by Pope Leo XIV. Representing Córdoba as a member of the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities, Passerini participated in discussions regarding human-centered progress through education and technology.

During the event, Passerini met with UNESCO Director-General Khaled El-Enany and representatives from the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL). The UIL highlighted Córdoba’s commitment to social cohesion and human development through lifelong learning opportunities.

In anticipation of the Pope’s upcoming visit to Córdoba, the municipal government released archival photographs from Pope John Paul II’s 1987 visit to the city. The images depict large crowds and significant public gatherings, serving as a historical reference for the expected scale of the upcoming papal visit.
