Mayor Dashić threatens external contractor over slow pothole repairs in Kragujevac

Mayor Nikola Dashić of Kragujevac said the municipal enterprise JKP Šumadija has not progressed quickly enough in filling potholes on city streets, despite allocated funds. He criticized the company's work pace and the high salaries of its employees, arguing that they should deliver better results. Dashić warned that if JKP Šumadija fails to improve efficiency and meet its obligations, the city will contract an external firm to complete the repairs and hold responsible those responsible for the poor performance.

The city expects the already‑provided budget to be used effectively and seeks faster, higher‑quality outcomes from the municipal utility.
