Mayor Enrique Galindo advances San Luis Potosí water pipeline and Lomas road corridor projects

San Luis Potosí Mayor Enrique Galindo Ceballos said municipal water‑infrastructure efforts should prioritize repairing the El Realito pipeline so the city can fully utilize the 50 million m³ of rain‑filled reservoir water and strengthen supply to the capital. He noted recent rains have recharged aquifers but additional works are needed, and the local water‑service response team remains active to address interruptions.

Galindo also inaugurated the comprehensive rehabilitation of a strategic road corridor in the Lomas district, covering streets such as Cordillera Real, Montes Verdes and Río Kennedy. The project adds new lighting, a “Zero‑Pothole” (Bache Cero) program and employs local construction firms, aiming to improve mobility, safety and the urban image while supporting local employment. The municipal government continues to allocate between 600 million and 1.1 billion pesos annually to public‑works projects.
