Italian MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli conducted a live broadcast from the beaches of Vico Equense without prior notice to the municipal administration. Mayor Giuseppe Aiello criticised the visit as a visibility stunt lacking institutional respect and pointed out technical inaccuracies about the distinction between concessioned, entrusted and free‑equipped beaches. Aiello reminded Borrelli of his past role as a regional councilor linked to a controversial emergency‑room episode in the town and said the community remains wary of his sudden interest.
