Mayor Giuseppe Aieta defends Cetraro administration amid PD criticism

Cetraro’s governing group, Cetraro in Azione, issued a pointed response to a note released by the local Democratic Party (PD) that criticised Mayor Giuseppe Aieta and the municipal majority. The movement rejected the PD’s accusations of fostering a confrontational climate, emphasizing the administration’s ongoing projects and policy actions. It described Mayor Aieta as “authoritative” and asserted that his decisions, such as support for the Unical clinic and other local initiatives, have been taken independently of party affiliations. The statement also accused the PD of politicising historical disputes and urged a focus on transparent, results‑oriented governance rather than partisan attacks.
