Mayor Héctor Ortiz Orpinel launches municipal road‑grading program in Juárez

The municipal government of Juárez has started the "Cruzada de Rastreo Municipal," a road‑grading initiative that will address roughly 60 colonies and communities in the Valle de Juárez during 2026. The program, funded with 42,294,760 Mexican pesos, will use nine motor graders and nine water trucks to level unpaved streets, improving access for vehicles and pedestrians. The first phase targets the neighborhoods El Granjero, Felipe Ángeles, Azteca, Los Ojitos, Loma Blanca, El Sauzal and the ejido Zaragoza. Subsequent work will extend to El Millón, San Agustín and Samalayuca, with additional colonies such as Águilas de Zaragoza, Riberas del Bravo and Villa Esperanza slated for later stages. Mayor Héctor Ortiz Orpinel said the effort responds to resident requests, while Director General of Public Works Daniel González García highlighted the technical process of using heavy machinery and water to compact and level the soil.
