Mayor Ibrahim Sandıkçı Announces New Parks and Social Projects in Canik

Canik Mayor Ibrahim Sandıkçı met with local muhtars to review ongoing municipal work and gather their proposals. He emphasized continued investment in projects that add value to the district, noting the completion of digital upgrades for the muhtar offices and the construction of new neighbourhood housing blocks.

The mayor highlighted the recent renovation of the Meşe Restaurant and Café, now part of a modern social facility that attracts visitors from other cities. He also announced the addition of new recreational areas, raising the total park space in Canik to 148,881 square metres and installing 24‑hour security monitoring for all parks. Urban‑transformation efforts aimed at providing earthquake‑resistant housing are also progressing.
