Mayor Juan Manuel Navarro launches alcohol inspections and new urban parks in Soledad de Graciano Sánchez

The municipal government of Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, led by Mayor Juan Manuel Navarro Muñiz, began a weekend inspection operation targeting bars, restaurants, liquor stores and other outlets that sell alcoholic beverages. Inspectors will verify that sales occur within authorized hours, that the 2026 licensing renewal is current, and that minors are not served. The previous weekend’s sweep resulted in the closure of four grocery stores for selling alcohol outside permitted times, and officials said the checks will continue to ensure compliance with municipal regulations.

In parallel, the mayor announced an expanded program to construct and rehabilitate urban parks across the municipality. The plan, coordinated with the state government of San Luis Potosí, aims to develop 150 new or upgraded recreational spaces, including a new sports center in the Santo Tomás neighborhood. The projects will incorporate water‑purification stations and medical consultancies to provide additional community services. Soledad already boasts more than 60 parks and the state’s largest linear park, and the administration seeks to further improve public safety and family recreation through these developments.
