Mayor Lalo Gattás Accelerates Road Repairs in Ciudad Victoria

Following recent heavy rains that eroded the road network, the Secretariat of Public Works in Ciudad Victoria resumed a citywide asphalt rehabilitation program under the direction of Mayor Lalo Gattás. In the first week of July, crews repaved Street 13 in the San Francisco neighborhood and advanced a seven‑block paving project in the Las Misiones subdivision. They also carried out pothole patching on Avenue 17 Francisco I. Madero, Berriozábal Street in the Commercial 2000 area, Primera Diagonal and Street 8 in Los Arcos, and Street 16 between the N. Unidas beltway and La Salle in Montes Altos.

In total, 340 m² of damaged surface were repaired, benefiting about 2,200 commuters in the city centre, while leveling and grading 28,000 m² across 34 streets and creating three new green areas for roughly 3,800 residents across nine neighborhoods and three rural ejidos.
