Mayor Lalo Gattás promotes regional tourism and connectivity at BarbachaFest in Mante
Mayor Lalo Gattás Báez of Ciudad Victoria attended the BarbachaFest 2026 food and music festival in El Mante, supporting Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya’s regional tourism and connectivity initiative for the state of Tamaulipas. Together with state tourism secretary Benjamín Hernández and municipal president Patty Chío de la Garza, Gattás toured the 20 exhibitors and praised the event’s role in attracting visitors and investment.
He said, "The governor has asked us, the mayors, to make a region to strengthen tourism and connectivity that will boost the state’s economic development." Gattás highlighted Ciudad Victoria’s strategic position as a safe, key hub for industrial and commercial transport to the United States, underscoring plans for trans‑border infrastructure and port development. The festival also served as an occasion for Gattás to strengthen ties with other municipal leaders, including the mayors of Tula, Altamira, Aldama, González, and San Nicolás.
