Mayor Marco Bonilla advances road projects and health partnership in Chihuahua, Mexico
The municipal government of Chihuahua, led by Mayor Marco Bonilla, is carrying out daily cleaning and maintenance of the historic Plaza de Armas to keep the central public space safe and attractive for residents and visitors.
Major road works are also under way. The Paso Superior of Los Nogales and Avenida de las Industrias is 72% complete, with crews pouring the upper slab and installing protection barriers, drainage pipes and lighting. A parallel project on the Chihuahua‑Aldama road and Avenida Fuerza Aérea has reached 74% progress, focusing on the upper deck, parapets and public lighting to improve traffic flow and safety in the city’s eastern zone.
In the health sector, the municipality signed a collaboration agreement with CTMAX, a diagnostic imaging firm, to expand services offered by the Instituto Municipal de Prevención y Atención a la Salud (IMPAS). Patients evaluated by IMPAS staff can be referred to CTMAX for advanced imaging studies, broadening diagnostic options for the city’s families.
