Mayor Marco Bonilla leads Good Actions Day ceremony in Maguarichi, Chihuahua

Mayor Marco Bonilla visited Maguarichi, Chihuahua, on 28 June 2026 to celebrate the international Día de las Buenas Acciones. The event, organized by the Fundación CYDEM, gathered hundreds of residents from surrounding municipalities for music, food, dancing and the presentation of community awards.

Bonilla emphasized the importance of genuine altruism, saying, “Eso debería ser lo más importante para cualquier asociación y para cualquier gobierno.” He highlighted that CYDEM currently supports about 5,000 vulnerable people in the Sierra region, improving living conditions for entire families. Municipal president Francisco Manuel Campos praised the collaborative effort and urged continued teamwork. The Fundación CYDEM recognized individuals such as Francisco Javier Gaxiola Meraz (Director of Rural Development, Uruachi), Nicolás Parra González (Field Resident, Maguarichi and Bocoyna) and Florentino Núñez Quezada (Director of Rural Development, Maguarichi).
