Mayor Marco Bonilla offers four parcels for federal housing program in Chihuahua

Chihuahua mayor Marco Antonio Bonilla Mendoza announced that the municipal government has made four strategically located land parcels available to the federal government for the construction of the "Viviendas para el Bienestar" housing program. The offered sites include a 5,674‑square‑metre lot in Jardines de Universidad, two 5,754‑square‑metre lots in Cumbres Universidad, and an 11,000‑square‑metre plot on Mozambique Street near the city’s exit to Ciudad Juárez.

Bonilla presented an official letter dated 9 April confirming the offer and emphasized the municipality’s willingness to cooperate, saying, "We are in the best disposition to collaborate with the Federal Government." He rejected accusations from Morena politicians that the PAN‑led city administration was obstructing the program, asserting that the federal authorities must decide on the project’s viability.

The mayor said the municipality has fulfilled its part by providing the land and will continue to work with all levels of government to expand housing access for families in the state, regardless of political differences.
