Mayor Marco Bonilla revamps 20 sports facilities in Chihuahua
The municipal government of Chihuahua completed maintenance and rehabilitation work on twenty sports venues during June, covering pools, courts, tracks and fields. The effort, overseen by the Institute of Municipal Physical Culture and Sport (IMCFD) director Juan José Abdo Fierro at the direction of Mayor Marco Bonilla, aimed to improve safety and functionality for the growing number of users.
More than 45,000 residents, including school groups, leagues, tournament organizers and families, will benefit from upgrades such as replacement of cyclone netting, painting, repaired boards, hoops and goalposts, and general upkeep at locations including Villa Juárez Sports Complex, Búfalos in Camino Real, Parque Dos de Junio, Parque Melchor Ocampo and a BMX track, among others.
