Mayor Norma Fuentes expands city traffic light network by 40%

Mayor Norma Fuentes has overseen the installation of new traffic lights at the intersection of Sáenz Peña and Paraná to improve vehicle circulation. This addition brings the city's total to 226 signalized intersections.

During the current administration, 66 new intersections have been equipped with traffic lights, representing a 40% increase in the number of signalized corners. The project also includes a technological modernization of existing systems, replacing traditional lamps with LED technology to enhance visibility, efficiency, and reliability.

The new system at Sáenz Peña and Paraná features advanced technology, including LED optics and controllers prepared for green wave functionality to optimize traffic flow. To allow drivers and pedestrians to adjust, the new lights will initially operate in intermittent mode before moving to full functionality.
