Mayor of 25 de Mayo seeks $11M for Route 151 repairs

Leonel Monsalve, the Mayor of 25 de Mayo, conducted a series of meetings in Buenos Aires to secure funding and political support for the repair of National Route 151. The focus of the mission is the deteriorated section between Cruce del Desierto and Puente Dique.

During his visit, Monsalve met with the General Administrator of Vialidad Nacional, Marcelo Campoy, to discuss technical documentation and budget estimates. The project is estimated to cost approximately $11 million and has a projected execution period of six months. Three potential funding models were discussed: a national agreement similar to models used in Río Negro, a private concession, or legislative intervention through Congress.

In the Chamber of Deputies, documentation was delivered to President Martín Menem and members of the La Libertad Avanza bloc, as well as representatives from the PJ. Additionally, the delegation met with presidential spokesperson Adrián Ravier at the Casa Rosada, who committed to forwarding the technical reports and budget to President Javier Milei.
