Mayor of Itumbiara endorses Senator Vanderlan Cardoso for reelection

Dione Araújo, the mayor of Itumbiara, has reaffirmed his support for Senator Vanderlan Cardoso’s reelection campaign for 2026. Araújo highlighted the senator’s ongoing partnership with the municipal administration.

According to data released by Cardoso’s team, the senator has allocated R$ 15.8 million to Itumbiara over nearly eight years of his mandate. These funds have been distributed across several sectors, including health, infrastructure, social assistance, education, and family farming.

The health sector received the largest portion of the funding, exceeding R$ 10 million. Notable investments include the provision of ten respirators during the Covid-19 pandemic and resources that facilitated 649 elective surgeries to reduce local demand. Other investments include the construction of a Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS).
