Mayor Rafa Fararoni launches first phase of 130+ road‑paving projects in San Andrés Tuxtla, Mexico

Mayor Rafa Fararoni Magaña inaugurated a series of newly paved streets in San Andrés Tuxtla, Veracruz, marking the start of a municipal infrastructure program that aims to complete more than 130 works, with a target of 140 before the end of the term. The first streets—Vicente Guerrero, José María, Morelos, Lázaro Cárdenas del Río and Luis Donaldo Colosio—were paved with funds from the FAISMUN program, totaling roughly six million pesos and directly benefiting over 700 residents.

Fararoni said, “Iniciamos con las inauguraciones de obra, de las más de 130 que vamos a inaugurar,” emphasizing the administration’s commitment to improve school access and overall mobility. School director Elva Goopar Rivera praised the work, noting that the new roads “benefician a nuestra escuela y a todos los vecinos.” The project is presented as a transparent use of public resources aimed at enhancing safety, connectivity and quality of life for the municipality’s families.
