Mayor Ulpiano Suárez delivers new cutting machine to Ciudad textile workshop

Mayor Ulpiano Suárez of Ciudad, Mendoza, attended a work‑breakfast at the textile workshop “La Máquina de Volar,” located in the Núcleo de Innovación y Desarrollo de Oportunidades (NIDO) in the Flores‑Olivares neighbourhood. During the visit he presented the workshop with a new cutting machine supplied by the municipality to increase production capacity, improve working conditions and enable faster response to new orders.

The workshop, which combines training, production and collaborative work, focuses on the inclusion of women and has been supplying garments and other textile items to a major company in the sector. Municipal officials including subsecretary Emilce Vega, economic development secretary Yamila Meljim and employment coordinator Francisco Cabrera also attended, underscoring the city’s commitment to job creation and skill development.
