Leccese highlighted the severity of the relegation for the Bari community and warned that, under federation rules, multi‑ownership must end by 1 July 2028 or the club could lose its title if not transferred. He also noted the need for confirmation on the availability of the San Nicola stadium for the upcoming season before signing any agreement.

The mayor’s request seeks transparency on the sport, economic and managerial direction the owners intend to pursue, aiming to restore dignity to the city and its supporters.
