Mayors Alemdar and Görgel Hold Youth Forums on City Projects in Turkey

Sakarya Metropolitan Mayor Yusuf Alemdar met with the AK Party’s provincial youth wing at the AKM venue, reviewing ongoing and planned municipal investments such as the rail system, science centre, city library, urban renewal and the protection of Lake Sapanca. He urged young participants to develop personally and contribute ideas for the city’s future.

Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Mayor Fırat Görgel convened a similar youth gathering at the 15 July Sports Valley, outlining recent and upcoming projects including new sports fields, a 17,500‑seat stadium, a youth centre and the Pusula Maraş programme that combines education, culture and technology initiatives. Both mayors emphasized the importance of youth input in shaping local development.
