Mayors Host 'Citizens Ask, Mayor Answers' Forums in Kayseri and Gaziantep

In two separate sessions of the AK Party’s “Citizens Ask, Mayor Answers” program, local leaders met directly with residents to discuss neighbourhood needs and ongoing projects.

In Talas, Kayseri, Mayor Mustafa Yalçın addressed a large audience at the Ottoman Cultural House, highlighting recent achievements such as a 24‑hour library, urban‑renewal works, new parks, and the addition of twelve schools over the past seven years. He emphasized the municipality’s role in education, culture, sport and social services, and invited participants to submit further suggestions.

In Beykent, Şehitkamil district of Gaziantep, Mayor Umut Yılmaz held a similar dialogue, listening to complaints and ideas from citizens while outlining planned infrastructure and social‑project investments. He stressed a “field‑focused” approach, promising prompt action on reported issues and stressing the importance of projects for children, youth, women and the elderly. Both meetings were part of a nationwide initiative to foster direct communication between citizens and municipal officials.
