Mayors Rafa Fararoni and Juan Carlos Rojas Complete Local Infrastructure Repairs

Mayor Rafa Fararoni Magaña of San Andrés Tuxtla, Veracruz, inaugurated the rehabilitation of more than 3 kilometres of a sacacosecha road in the community of Nompita. The project added four culverts to reduce flooding and installed ten street lamps, improving transport safety for residents, students and workers.

Mayor Juan Carlos Rojas Castro of Atoyac fulfilled a pledge to rebuild a family home in the Cruz Verde neighbourhood after heavy rains caused the roof to collapse. The reconstruction also reinforced a hazardous wall, restoring a safe and dignified dwelling for the affected family.

Both officials highlighted their administrations’ focus on rapid, community‑directed responses to natural‑hazard impacts and on enhancing rural connectivity and living conditions.
