Mayotte advances economic governance and infrastructure priorities

Mayotte is advancing several key administrative and infrastructure initiatives. The Association Mayotte Technopole (AMT) has moved to strengthen its governance by validating recent financial accounts and initiating a revision of its statutes. To better support local entrepreneurship, the AMT is also launching a business domiciliation service to assist entrepreneurs with administrative setup.

In parallel, Ben Issa Ousseni, President of the Department-Region of Mayotte, met with Overseas Minister Naïma Moutchou to discuss critical regional priorities. These include the development of the Longoni maritime port, the construction of a new airport, securing long-term funding through the engagement contract, and the deployment of fiber optics. Ousseni emphasized the need for concrete progress on these projects, particularly regarding the release of European funds for telecommunications and ensuring local governance in port development.
