Mayr-Melnhof expands production in Romania and grows Management Board

Mayr-Melnhof (MM) is advancing its packaging production expansion in Romania, with commercial production at the facility scheduled to begin in October 2026. The company confirmed that expansion investments in both Romania and the United States are proceeding according to plan and are expected to contribute to group results starting in 2027.

In a separate corporate development, the MM Group is expanding its Management Board to five members. Effective September 1, 2026, Andreas Koppitz will join the board to lead the Pharma & Healthcare Packaging division, and Alexander Loimayr will join to lead the Board & Paper division. Both appointees serve three-year terms.

Financial results for the Food & Premium Packaging division showed a 5.6 percent decrease in revenue on a comparable basis, excluding the sold Tann Group, while adjusted EBITDA saw a slight increase of 0.9 percent to 97.9 million euros.
