Mayra Mendoza highlights rift between Kirchner and Kicillof

Argentine legislator Mayra Mendoza has highlighted growing internal divisions within the Peronist movement, specifically regarding the relationship between former President Cristina Kirchner and Buenos Aires Governor Axel Kicillof.

Mendoza, a former mayor of Quilmes, stated that she had previously warned Kirchner about her level of trust in Kicillof. She noted that while Kirchner is an intelligent and trusting leader, this trust was not reciprocated by the former Economy Minister. Mendoza described observing behaviors and attitudes from Kicillof that were inconsistent with their shared political goals, noting that these tensions existed even during her tenure as mayor.
