Mayrhofen area youth fire departments conduct emergency training

Youth members from the Mayrhofen, Schwendau, and Tux volunteer fire departments participated in a realistic emergency training night on August 29, 2026. Approximately 35 participants engaged in several simulated scenarios prepared over several months.

The training exercises included responding to a traffic accident involving trapped individuals, a vehicle fire, and a missing person. Additionally, the youth groups practiced responding to a building fire at a tennis facility in Tux and conducted a search for seven missing persons in the woods near Vorderlanersbach. Technical rescue exercises also included freeing a person trapped under a wheel loader bucket.
