Maysa Leão launches campaign for state deputy in Mato Grosso

Maysa Leão officially launched her campaign for state deputy in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso. The launch event gathered political leaders, including Governor Otaviano Pivetta, vice-gubernatorial candidate Gisela Simona, and state deputy Janaína Riva.

Leão’s political platform is centered on advocacy for inclusion, the rights of people with disabilities, and neurodivergence, a mission inspired by her experience as the mother of an autistic son. During the event, Governor Pivetta praised her grassroots approach, noting her habit of engaging directly with citizens. Janaína Riva also highlighted Leão’s technical knowledge regarding mental health and rare diseases as a significant asset for the Legislative Assembly.
