Mayton Perea eyes potential UFC debut in December

Ecuadorian mixed martial artist Mayton Perea is eyeing a potential UFC debut this December. Following a 45-second knockout victory against Zevan Hunt on Dana White’s Contender Series, Perea secured a contract with the organization.

Perea indicated that the UFC has expressed interest in having him compete in December, though a specific date and opponent have not yet been finalized. The possibility of a December appearance is linked to the scheduling of fellow Ecuadorian fighters Michael Morales and Chito Vera, as the organization considers the potential for an Ecuadorian-themed card.

Perea, who holds a 9-3 record, intends to compete in the welterweight division with the long-term goal of contending for a championship. Before his official UFC debut, he is scheduled to appear at HYPE Quito.
