Iwatani, who has been sidelined since a right big‑toe fracture at the Osaka tournament on April 11, confronted SAREE and asked, “You returned to Marigold because you want to fight me, right?” SAREE confirmed, and Iwatani announced her comeback match for August 9 at the Ōta‑ku General Sports Hall. The announcement also hinted at a possible tag team bout, pairing Iwatani and Victoria Yuzuki against SAREE and Ayaha (彩羽匠).
