Mazandaran municipalities to implement electronic real estate registration

Municipalities in Mazandaran province are being mandated to launch an electronic registration system for real estate transactions. This initiative aims to phase out manual handwritten agreements, informal pre-sales, and non-official property documents to prevent fraud and reduce legal disputes.

The judicial deputy for crime prevention in Mazandaran stated that the system is designed to curb illegal transactions and minimize litigation arising from unofficial documents. The city of Sari will serve as the pilot location for the electronic system; following a successful trial and evaluation, the platform will be rolled out to all other municipalities within the province. Officials warned that failure to implement this legal requirement could be treated as a judicial offense.
