Mazara Cathedral and Como’s Casa del Fascio offer exclusive August guided tours
In Mazara del Vallo, the “Cattedrale Segreta” programme continues in August with two evening tours on 12 and 19 August. Guided by Danilo Di Maria, the visits allow up to 30 participants per slot to explore rarely‑seen areas of the cathedral. A contribution collected from attendees will be earmarked for the restoration of an artwork housed inside the building.
In Como, the former Casa del Fascio opens for guided tours on 8 and 29 August. Architect Attilio Terragni, the great‑grandson of designer Giuseppe Terragni, leads the hour‑and‑a‑half tours, granting access to the normally closed atrium. Tickets cost €15 for adults and €5 for children aged 6‑14, with free entry for younger children. The event is supported by the provincial Guardia di Finanza, which authorized the access.
Both initiatives aim to promote cultural heritage, provide educational experiences, and support preservation efforts in Italy.
