Mazara del Vallo seeks private partners for cultural sites

The municipality of Mazara del Vallo has issued an exploratory notice to seek private partners for the management and enhancement of four key cultural sites. The initiative aims to establish a public-private partnership to create a unified cultural and tourist route, addressing the current fragmentation of site access.

The four sites included in the proposal are the San Nicolò Regale mosaics, the Church of San Bartolomeo with the Mirabilia Urbis Museum, the Garibaldi Theater, and the Jesuit College. Currently, the mosaics and the church are not regularly open to the public, while the theater and the college are accessible for free through municipal services.

Mayor Salvatore Quinci stated that the goal is to achieve a more organic valorization of the city's heritage through a sustainable management model. The plan involves no additional economic burden on the municipal budget; the private manager will be remunerated through ticket sales, audio guide rentals, and authorized ancillary services.
