Mazara del Vallo honors courtyard owners in 'Cortili dell'Anima' awards

In the Sala La Bruna of the Jesuit College in Mazara del Vallo, a ceremony celebrated the winners of the "I Cortili dell'Anima" competition. The event, organised by Pro Loco Mazara del Vallo with the patronage of the municipal administration, recognised private courtyards for their care, creativity and contribution to the historic centre.

The judging panel comprised architect Antonia Russo (municipal official), architect Francesca Marrone (Ciumara Bikers association) and architect Maria Grosso (Pro Loco Mazara del Vallo). Awards were given to the courtyard "Il Sogno Siciliano" on via XX Settembre for originality and to the "Cortile della Fenice" on via Abate Calia for hospitality. All eight participating courtyards received participation certificates. The competition forms part of the national celebrations for the Day of the Italian Pro Loco associations, highlighting the partnership between local associations, the city council and private owners in preserving cultural heritage.
