Mazara del Vallo seeks manager for fish market

The municipality of Mazara del Vallo has launched a preliminary market consultation to find a manager for the wholesale and retail fish market located in Piazzetta dello Scalo. This exploratory phase aims to gauge interest from economic operators and gather data to define the conditions for a future concession tender.

The facility, situated in the Lungomare Mazzaro area, has recently undergone infrastructure redevelopment funded by approximately one million euros from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty. Additionally, a 150,000 euro investment from Gal Pesca is being implemented to provide and install furnishings.

The administration intends to use the market as a strategic public infrastructure to promote local fishing, processed seafood products, and regional tourism. Interested parties must submit management proposals including technical and economic-financial reports, specifying whether they intend to manage wholesale, retail, or both activities.
